I had my first hair and makeup trial today. The makeup trial turned out exactly like what I wanted. It is a mineral based makeup which I have always wanted to try and it is great. We will see how it holds up. The hair trial went very well also. We need to make a few tweaks to it but it will be great the day of the wedding. There was a second hair style I want to try and I will be testing that out for my shower. The second trial is down so that is what really scars me how it will hold curl and if it will frizz outside. So until hair trial part 2 …..

Wedding Progress
It seems like the wedding date is approaching fast! This week I finished the rehearsal and bridesmaid timelines to include with rehearsal invitations so I’m excited to pass that along to Vicki to send out the rehearsal invitations!!!!
I started the program template so I hope to finish that up over the next week so I can print and put all those together but it means a final decision on the processional song and reading. It it time to make that commitment.
I finished up the majority of our thank you gifts and I’m excited about the gifts I purchased.
The most exciting news this week is two items I received in the mail. I received my bachelorette invitation that Alison and Jessica are hosting – it was adorable! Then I received my bridal shower invitation from Heather and Eleida – they are trying to be secretive about the shower but of course we know these two, keep dropping hints!
Keep those RSVP’s coming in. So far the longest distance belongs to Matt Stevens coming from Califoria with the Franks coming in at a close second from Dallas. We have great friends.
Invitations
Well the majority finally hit the mailbox this week. It was quite the process with the map but it was finally everything Pete and I wanted. I love the simple classic fresh look and hope everyone noticed the “we do” green damask stamps. I fall in love with those stamps and of course they had to match the invitation suite.
We also got our first RSVP three days later. The winner of the first RSVP was Vicki! The mother of the groom is on the ball!
Also on Saturday we picked our rehearsal invitations and ordered those with Vicki. I have already selected the stamp so I’m so excited.
I hope to see the RSVP’s coming in because of course all of you know that I’m quite the early planner!!!!
Planning (Week of July 6)
It was a great week. Vicki brought over the invitations and the calligraphy looked wonderful. I have stuffed the invitations just waiting for one final piece before I can take it to the post office for the official weight so I can order the stamps. Stamps – it has been hard to pick the design but I think I finally selected the one I like the best.
Well I’m prepping for my girl weekend to Vegas. Look out Vegas – Jen, Deb, Eleida and I hitting your town soon!
Planning (Week of June 22)
Just finished up a few things this week: bridesmaid gifts, ring bear gift and started looking for my hair style. If you have any suggestions or pictures send them my way!
The best thing about this week was I saw a picture of Essie in her flowergirl dress and I had tears. She looks like an angel!
Tomorrow is a big deal for Pete and me we are putting together a list of the items we need to finish and assigning a date of completion. Most of you realize that I will enjoy this and Pete is along for the ride although he as couple big deadlines coming us – should I say maps.
(Planning) Week of June 8th
Well tomorrow is the big day… Alison’s shower. I’m looking forward to celebrating with a great friend on her impending motherhood.
Wedding planning, lets see. The shoes should ship next week so I can’t wait to see if they look as good in person, fit and see how they look with the dress.
I made another fun purchase, the flower girl gift. Of all the gifts I have bought so far this by far my favorite and I can’t wait to give it to Essie. I hope she will love it as much as I do.
I guess I should mention Pete in some of planning blogs, let’s see he is working on the map for the invitations so he is on a deadline! Of course he only knows perfection so I can’t wait to see the final copy.
I think next week I’m going to start on the program template check back to see how that goes.
Planning (Week of May 22)
It was a quiet week with the wedding details. The most exciting news is that Vicki has the guest list in her hands to start the calligraphy! I also received the stamps for the rsvp envelopes. I love them, can you guess what stamp design I selected? The next step is the stamp for the invites of course we have to wait to see what the invitations will weigh. The final piece to the invitation is Peter’s assignment, the map! So I guess I will have to start on it next week.
We also got several wedding gifts this week from my mom. She was extremely generous and we are grateful.
We are off to KY for Memorial Weekend. Enjoy the long weekend.
Planning (Week of May 3rd)
Happy Mother Day’s to everyone! Well this week I received the rsvp cards so I will be getting all the invite parts together and passing them along to Vicki to start addressing them. Calligraphy is a beautiful thing! Next I’m on to designing the maps, this will be a challenge but hopefully the design will come out with what I’m envisioning.
Vicki and I visited the Skyline Club and it is perfect for the rehearsal dinner. It is on the 36th floor of the One American Building and has great views. Also it is a short walk from the hotel.
The best part of the week…………………. my earrings arrived! I love them and love that Eleida gave them to me even more!
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day!
Planning (as of April 25)
Well today was a big day in planning, meal selection and reception setup. It will well and we loved working with Kelly at centerplate. There was also a wedding tonight so we saw them setting up the ceremony location on the canal. After the meeting we decided to take a stroll along the canal to the hotel for the wedding block. It was an easy stroll and for most people would be under ten minutes. Jen and Deb this means 7 minutes easy for you! This is great because of course we opted for additional bars. This means I ordered the response cards.
We are still working on the ceremony music selections and this is taking a little longer than I expected because Pete has been out of town with work so much so this is definitely next on the list to complete because I want to get the program design complete and off the table.
We also have narrowed down the location for the rehearsal dinner and just need to confirm a few small items with Mom and Dad.
Time is going by so fast……………
Planning (Week of March 30th)
It was a big week, the invitations and enclosures arrived. Now just the rsvp cards! I love the invites they are perfect.
We also decided on tuxes and got that set up at MW /Tux. This was a fairly quick and painless visit. In and out in twenty minutes. This is not the bridal dress experience by any means.
Pete and I worked on our registry at Crate and Barrel. This was fun since we had it completed online so we only had a few items to pick it out.
The most exciting thing this week was we scheduled our engagement session. We decided on the location now the hard part a few outfits.
